The trailer hand control valve (also called Truck hand brake valves or Truck air brake valves ) works the trailer brakes. The trailer hand valve is used only to test the trailer brakes. It is not used in driving because of the danger of making the trailer skid. The foot brake sends air to all of the brakes on the vehicle including the trailers.
